Heading: Claire-Louise Ferris Memorial Trust
I Believe

On Sunday 15th March Sue, Dave and Bear were joined by Vicky Ford, Glenn Ferris and Dan Cano on the Brentwood Fun run. We also had John Ford, Richard and Noel O'Reilly and Elaine and Julian Allen in the half marathon. We raised approx £1,400 between us. The Lounge Hairdressers also took part again this year, wearing fancy dress and colourful wigs.
In December 2008 Sue and Dave were proud to open the "The Claire-Louise Corner" at Ravensbourne School, Harold Hill. It is their new Multi Sensory corner in the nursery classroom and was made possible by a generous donation from the Claire-Louise Ferris Memorial Trust Fund which is recognised by a "Claire-Bear" plaque on the wall.
The picture above shows children enjoying the "Claire-Louise Corner" but this wasn't the only project to benefit from the Trust Fund and your donations. Corbets Tey School in Upminster also received a donation for multi sensory lights and underwater fountains in their hydro therapy pool. A Life Skills classroom for the upper years has also been refurbished. Sue and Dave, and the children who benefit, all want to thank you for continuing Claire's dream of helping children.
Councillor Dudley Payne was elected as the Mayor of Brentwood for the year up until May 2009. As his charities to support for the year, Councillor Payne has chosen Ingrave Community Centre and Claire-Louise Ferris Memorial Trust Fund. Donations to the Mayor’s charity account can be made directly to the Mayor’s Office at the Town Hall, by calling 01277 312740 or by emailing mayors.secretary@brentwood.gov.uk.
The Lounge Hair and Beauty salon of 41 kings road brentwood ran the brentwood fun run which was 3 miles in silly wigs and managed to raise £500. Our sponsors came from clients, friends, family and other businesses in Brentwood.
The Origin Gym Rainham held a sponsored treadmill walk on 18 November 2006 followed by a Christmas disco on 25 November, both events arranged by Kevin Reynolds the owner. The grand sum of £4,377 was raised.
Angela (Claire's Auntie) shows off her medal for completing the Manchester 10k in 1 hour and 1 minute, 20th May 2007. Josh & Tom also ran in the Fun Run the day before. Together they raised a total of over £700.
22 October 2006 - Dave Mills ran the Akzo Nobel Marathon in Abingdon.
